Grande Design won top honours twice over at the 2019 HKT Smart Living Awards in recognition of their outstanding achievement in incorporating smart technology into a residential project. The Awards’ highest honour, the HKT Smart Living Design Award – Gold, went to Grande Design, as well as the Most Popular Smart Living Design Award.

The HKT Smart Living Awards provide an opportunity for interior design professionals to showcase their creativity and imagination. There were more than 120 submissions from established interior designers and students at the 2019 awards, which were judged by an esteemed panel including James Law of Cybertecture, Joey Ho of PAL Design Group, Antony Chan of CREAM, and Ringo Ng of HKT Limited. The Most Popular Smart Living Design Award is judged by the public.

The award ceremony took place on 27 September 2019 at The Mills in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong. Matthew Li, Founder and Creative Director, and Maggy Cheung, Art Director, proudly represented the Grande Design team at the ceremony.

Grande Design’s winning project – a penthouse in Fo Tan – is bathed in natural light with lofty interiors, floor-to-ceiling windows and natural-wood features. It boasts outdoor areas for entertaining and a number of smart-home features: both the electric-curtain and air-conditioning systems can be controlled by the homeowners using smartphones or tablets; and a home-automation system throughout allows for faultless operation of the lighting, home-monitoring system, AV system and Wi-Fi.
